OJEE Counselling 2025

OJEE Counselling 2025 will be conducted for admission in first year degree programs in B.Tech, B.Arch, B. Plan, B. Pharm, B.Cat, Integrated MBA (5 Years), Integrated M.Sc. (5 Years), & lateral entry admission to second year (Third Semester) of B. Tech, B. Pharm & first year masters degree programs in MBA, MCA, M.Tech, M.Pharm, M.Arch, M.Plan. OJEE Counselling will be conducted by Odisha Joint Entrance Examination Committee and counselling is expected to start from May 2025. Candidates must do the registration on OJEE official website to participate in the counselling. Admission in B.Tech & B.arch will be based on (Joint Entrance Examination) JEE Main Paper 1 & Paper 2 conducted by NTA.

The counselling registration will be done through the OJEE official website (www.ojee.nic.in). The entire process is conducted online and is fully computer-operated, leaving no room for exceptions. Therefore, candidates are strongly advised to thoroughly understand the processes and rules associated with the procedure.

OJEE Counselling Step by Step Process

OJEE (Odisha Joint Entrance Examination) counselling procedure is designed to help qualified candidates secure seats in various undergraduate and postgraduate courses such as B.Tech, B.Plan, B.Pharm, B.CAT, MBA, MCA, M.Tech, and others. This web-based counselling process involves a series of steps that candidates must follow to complete their admission procedure successfully. The counselling procedure includes registration, payment of counselling fees, choice filling, seat allotment, document verification, and payment of part admission fees, along with options for seat upgradation in subsequent rounds. Candidates must make sure that all required documents are uploaded and verified to avoid any complications in securing their allotted seat. The entire process is conducted online, with multiple rounds of allotment and candidates have the opportunities to modify their choices or withdraw if they are not willing to continue in the counselling process.

STEP 1: Registration: 

• Go to the OJEE’s official website at www.ojee.nic.in, then commence completing the registration. 
• Choose the appropriate course, and click NEW CANDIDATE REGISTRATION. 
• Read the consent page completely, and click I Agree to proceed. 
• Provide the required information according to your rank card, such as Application number, Candidate’s name, Date of birth, Gender, and Security pin. 
• Press Submit to move on to the next step.

STEP 2: Personal Data

• Review the Pre-filled data displayed, which were made while submission of application.
• Contact details such as mobile no-, email address- and create a password-take your part in adding.
• The password must be 8 to 13 characters long and contain at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, one numeric digit, and one special character (for example: Hrudanand@123).
• Please retype the password into the confirm password field.
• Upon successful registration, an SMS will be sent to the provided mobile number.

STEP 3: Candidate Profile

• Completion of domicile and category information by selecting domicile status. 
• Select social category SC, ST, EWS with any applicable sub-category such as State Government Student Scheme (SGH), Green Card (GC), Physically Challenged (PC), Ex-Servicemen (ES), or Tuition Fee Waiver (TFW).
• Add qualifying examinations passed from an institute in Odisha (if applicable). 
• Indicate if parent(s) work in Odisha. Click Save & Next to proceed.

STEP 4: Qualification Details

• Select qualification (select the one applicable to the course you are applying for). Enter exam details such as Name of the Board; for example, Roll number; Name of the institute; Year of passing; Marks secured; full marks, and subject-wise scores (if applicable).
• If eligible for SGH (State Government High Schools) quota, select your school from the dropdown list.
• Save information by clicking Save & Next to continue.

STEP 5: Contact Information 

• Provide Address: Enter your permanent and correspondence address details. 
• Preview & Submit: View all the entered details in the Preview & Final Submit stage. 
• Declaration: Accept the declaration and click Save & Final Submit to finish the registration. 

STEP 6: Registration Fee Payment 

• Pay Fee: Deposit the non-refundable registration fee of 450 rupees online. 
• Save Transaction: Click Save to continue after successful payment. 

STEP 7: Choice Filling & Locking 

• Access Choice Filling: Complete the registration and fee payment, then click on the Choice Filling & Locking link on the left hand side of the dashboard. 
• Instructions: Read the instructions carefully on the next screen and proceed. 

1. Add Choices: 

• Left block will show up a list of all colleges and branches (alphabetically arranged). To the right block, you can use the following to add choices: 
• ADD button (one by one). 
• ADD MULTIPLE button (for bulk addition). 

2. Arrange Choices: 

• Place the choices in your desired order. 
• You may use the swap and move facility for reorganizing the priority of your options. TFW Candidates: 
• Both TFW and non-TFW seats may be selected by eligible candidates. For the Tuition Fee Waiver plan, make sure that the criteria defined under it are fulfilled for the selection. 

3. Mock Allotment 

• Your seat allotment status will be checked during mock results. 
• Based on mock allotment results (if required), make changes to your choices. Choice Locking: 
• Once you are satisfied with it, you will click Lock Choices and confirm with your password. Printout of the locked choices should be taken for future reference.

OJEE Seat Allotment Process

Allotment Round-I Process

• The allotment is based on a best-fit mechanism, considering the candidate’s rank, choices, and category/reservation.
• Round-I allotment results will be announced as per the OJEE schedule.
• Candidates will receive an SMS notification (if a mobile number was provided during registration).
• The allotment can also be checked on the official OJEE website through the candidate’s login.
• The seat shown in Round-I is temporary.
• Candidates should not report to the allotted institution at this stage.
• Counseling uses an option-based upgradation system where a candidate may retain their seat or be upgraded to a higher choice in subsequent rounds.
• Provide your most preferred options at the top while filling choices.
• Once you select Freeze or Float, the choice cannot be changed.

Post-Allotment Steps:

• Log in to the counseling portal and select Freeze (to confirm the allotted seat) or Float (to remain in the upgradation process).
• Upload required documents as per your profile in PDF format within the specified size limits.
• File names should not include special characters, and all documents must be clearly readable.

Payment can be made online through Bill-Desk/HDFC/SBI gateways using net banking, debit cards, or credit cards.

If No Seat is Allotted:

• Candidates who are not allotted a seat in Round-I can wait for Round-II. Modify their choices after giving consent for the modification.
• Candidates can withdraw from the counseling process within the specified timeline and receive a refund of the seat confirmation fee: Refundable amount: Rs. 5,000 or Rs. 10,000, depending on the category.
• Refunds will be initiated after the counseling process concludes.

Document Upload and Verification

Candidates must upload the respective documents as per the list given below. Make sure that the files are in PDF format and file size and naming conventions are followed.

Verification Process:

• Verification is conducted online only, no need to visit nodal centers.
• If any discrepancies or issues arise during verification:
• Candidates will receive an alert via SMS or email.
• Log in to the counseling portal to address queries or provide additional information.

Allotment Round-II Process

Seat allotment round 2 is the next process in OJEE counseling and it is vital in allotting the seats to the candidates, as per their choices, ranks and seat availability. Here are detailed steps and guidelines for this round:

1. Announcement of Round-II Results

• The results of the Round 2 seat allotment will be published as per the scheduled date provided on the official OJEE website.
• Additionally, information on all allotments will also be sent out through an SMS to the registered mobile numbers of candidates during registration.
• To check their allotment status, candidates must log on to the OJEE 2025 portal.

2. Allotment Status and Upgrades

• Candidates will see one of the following scenarios:
• Upgrade: The seat allotted would be upgraded to higher preference, depending upon the rank and seat availability.
• Same Allotment: The seat allotted to a candidate may remain unchanged from Round-I.
• New Allotment: Candidates who were not allotted any seat during Round-I may be allotted in this round according to their preference, rank, and availability.
• The allotment process besides considering ranks also takes into account choice priorities and seat availability.

3. Reporting Guidelines 

• Candidates are strictly advised not to report to the allotted institution at this stage based on the Round-II allotment. Counseling or admission to the institution allotted to any student according to Round-II allotments is strictly prohibited at this time. 

4. Steps for Un-Allotted Candidates

• Candidates who have not been allotted any seat in Round-II should:
• Await the final allotment and modify their choices during the next choice-filling period if they so desire. Relock their preferences for the last allotment round. 

5. Withdrawal from Counseling

• Candidates willing to withdraw from the counseling process have to follow the official pattern of withdrawal as already described above within the timeline to be entitled for receiving a refund of seat confirmation fee. 

6. Steps for Newly-allotted Candidates 

Round-II newly-allotted candidates need to pursue the following steps to remain eligible for the next round:

Exercise Option: Choose either the Freeze (finalize the allotment) or Float (retain the option for upgradation) option through their login portal.

Upload Required Documents:

• Upload necessary documents in PDF format as per the instructions on the portal.
• Ensure the uploaded documents are legible and meet the file size requirements.

Pay Seat Confirmation Fee:

• The seat confirmation fee must be paid online. Failure to complete this step will result in disqualification from further rounds, and the allotted seat will be marked as vacant.

7. Special Registration Opportunity

After Round-II, the registration process will reopen for the following candidates:

• Special OJEE candidates.
• JEE Main candidates.

This is an opportunity for candidates who have not registered earlier to participate in the counseling process for the remaining vacant seats. Candidates can fill and lock their choices during this phase to be considered for the final allotment.

Seat Allotment Round-III

The Round-III Seat Allotment happens to be the second last Round in the OJEE 2025 Counseling Process. Here are the details for this round:

Eligibility for Round-III:

Candidates who were participants in Round-II and newly registered candidates can attend this round. Results for Round-III will come out according to the timetable set in the OJEE website. Notifications on this subject will also be sent via SMS to registered mobile numbers. Candidates may log in to access the status of allotment.

Allotment Chances:

• Seats may be upgraded from any other category to a higher-priority choice. 
• Old allotments may still remain unchanged. 
• Candidates who were not allotted any seat in previous rounds have a chance to get a seat now, depending on their rank, preferences and availability. 

Final Seat Allotment

The Final Seat Allotment will be the last round of the OJEE 2025 counseling process. The following are the important facts:

Eligibility:

• All candidates upgrading.
• Candidates with frozen allocation from previous rounds.
• Newly registered candidates.

Final results will be published on the OJEE website. SMS notifications will also be sent to registered mobile numbers. All final-selection candidates can download their Final Allotment Letter.

Reporting Requirements:

Candidates with frozen and unchanged allotments must go report to their respective colleges with the following documents:

• Final Allotment Letter
• Fee Deposit Slip

The new allotment candidates must upload their documents and pay the fees to generate their final allotment letter.

Fee Forfeiture:

If a candidate fails to present himself at the institution allotted, a part admission/seat confirmation fee of Rs. 10000 or Rs. 5000 will be deducted. Withdrawal beyond the deadline will be null and void.

Candidates have to report to their allotted colleges within the stipulated time period. Updating OJEE portal by college authority will happen only for a reported candidate.
