JAC-2025 Counselling: How to Fill Your Choices Online

If you’re participating in JAC-2024 counselling process, here’s how you can go about filling out your choices for institutes and courses. This guide will help you understand what to do step by step.

1. Filling in Your Choices:

  • Choosing Your Preferences: Start by listing your preferred institutes and courses in the order you’d like to study them. You can select as many as you want.
  • If You’re Eligible for Both Engineering & Architecture: You’ll need to submit a single list that includes both streams, and your choices will be considered accordingly.
  • Architecture-Only Candidates: If you’re only eligible for Architecture, the system will automatically select CCA Architecture for you once you register.
  • Unlimited Choices: There’s no limit on the number of preferences you can select. Feel free to add as many as you think are suitable for you.

2. Editing Your Choices:

  • Make Changes Anytime: You can modify, reorder, delete, or add new choices until you lock your list.
  • Mock Counselling: During the process, you’ll get an idea of your seat availability through a mock allotment. This is to help you adjust your choices if needed.
  • Finalizing Your Choices: Once you’re sure of your preferences, lock them in. Be sure to review everything carefully before locking.

3. Locking and Printing Your Choices:

  • How to Lock: After reviewing your preferences, you’ll need to lock your choices. This will require you to re-enter your password and confirm that you’re happy with your selections.
  • Automatic Locking: If you forget to lock your choices, the system will lock them for you automatically after the deadline.
  • Take a Printout: Once you’ve locked your choices, make sure to print a copy of your list for your records.

4. Seat Allotment Process:

1. Getting Your Seat Allotment:

  • After processing your choices, the allotment result will be published on the official website, and you’ll be notified via SMS.
  • You can log in anytime to check the status of your allotment.

2. Paying the Seat Acceptance Fee:

  • Fee Payment: If you’re offered a seat for the first time, you need to pay Rs. 40,000 as a seat acceptance fee online.
  • Upgradation Option: After paying, you’ll also need to choose whether you want to be considered for an upgrade (Yes for upgradation or No if you want to freeze the current seat).

3. Confirming Your Seat:

  • If you’ve successfully paid the fee, you’ll be considered as successfully reported for the seat.
  • If you miss the payment deadline, your seat will be canceled, and you won’t be eligible for future rounds (except for Special and Spot rounds).

4. Reserved Category Seats & Upgradation:

  • If you’re offered a seat in a reserved category, you can still be considered for a General category seat in future rounds, depending on seat availability.
  • Sports/Defence Seats: If you’ve applied for seats under the Sports or Defence category, your rank in those categories will determine how your seat is allotted.

5. Special and Spot Rounds:

  • If you don’t secure a seat in the earlier rounds, you can participate in the Special and Spot rounds, but you’ll need to pay Rs. 40,000 as an advance seat acceptance fee.
