JAC Delhi Counselling 2025 will be conducted for B.Tech & B.Arch admission in Engineering & Architecture colleges in Delhi by Joint Admission Committee (JAC). The counselling may start from May 2024 with candidates online registration on JAC official website (http://www.jacdelhi.nic.in/). The counselling will be conducted in Five rounds (Round 1 to Round 5). Online Registration and Choice Filling will be permitted only before 1st Round. No new registration and change of choice filling will be allowed after registration window is closed.
JAC conducts counselling for 5 technical university/Institute which includes Delhi Technological University (DTU), Netaji Subhas University of Technology (NSUT), Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW), Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, Delhi (IIITD) & Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University (DSEU). Counselling will be conducted for 85% seats for delhi region candidates and 15% seats for outside delhi region candidates. Admission in engineering courses will be based on JEE Main (Paper 1)/ 12th Grade merit and for B.Arch course admission will be based on JEE Main (Paper 2)/12th Grade merit. Student must fulfil eligibility criteria to participate in JAC Delhi Counselling.

Admission process for B.Tech & B.Arch courses will be done based on JEE Main (Paper 1 & Paper 2) respectively. Candidate must to registration on JAC official website followed by Choice Filling, Seat Allotment, & reporting to allotted institutes.
JAC Counselling Registration Process
- Online Registration and Counselling Fee Payment
All candidates seeking admission to engineering programs at DTU, IGDTUW, IIIT-D, NSUT, and DSEU, or architecture programs at NSUT and IGDTUW, must register online at the official JAC Delhi portal: jacdelhi.admissions.nic.in. The registration involves filling out the online application form, paying a non-refundable registration-cum-counselling fee of Rs. 1500/- (plus applicable transaction charges), and filling in the program choices.
- Instructions for Online Registration
Online registration is only available during the specified counselling schedule. Candidates must begin by entering the following details from their JEE Main 2025 application. Enter below information and proceed;
- JEE Main 2025 application number
- Name (as mentioned in the JEE admit card)
- Date of Birth (as per the JEE application)
If the provided details match the JEE 2025 database, candidates will be prompted to enter their email ID and mobile number.
- A verification code will be sent to the provided email ID and mobile number.
- After verifying the code, candidates can create a password for the JAC Delhi portal.
- The JEE (Main) 2025 application number will serve as the User ID.
- Candidates must choose a strong password and a security question to retrieve the password if forgotten.
Important:
- Ensure the email ID and mobile number are valid and belong to the candidate or immediate family. These will be used for all future communication.
- Candidates must remember their password and keep it confidential. JAC Delhi will not be responsible for misuse of credentials.
Complete Application Form:
- After successful authentication, candidates must fill out the application form in several steps.
- Provide band account details and make sure the provided bank account belongs to the candidate or immediate family. Refunds (if applicable) will be processed into this account, regardless of the payment source.
- Bonus Points for IIIT-D: Candidates eligible for IIIT-D bonus points must provide accurate details and relevant documents during registration.
Uploading Documents:
- Candidates must upload the following documents based on their category:
- Class XII Mark Sheet
- Class X Certificate (as proof of Date of Birth)
- IIIT-D Bonus Point Documents (if applicable)
- Reserved Category/Sub-Category Certificates:
- For PD Sub-category:

Confirmation of Registration:
- Once all required fields and documents are uploaded, candidates must confirm the registration.
- Post-confirmation, no edits can be made to the details.
Counselling Fee Payment:
- Candidates must pay the non-refundable registration-cum-counselling fee of Rs. 1500/-.
In case of failed transactions:
- The fee will be refunded to the same account within seven working days.
- Candidates must pay the fee again to complete registration.

Choice Filling for Seat Allotment:
- After registration and fee payment, candidates must log in again to fill their choices for seat allotment.
Printout of Registration Form:
- Candidates must take a printout of the registration form, signed by both the candidate and guardian/parents, to be submitted at the time of admission.
- Seat Allotment Process
1. Allotment for B.Tech. and Dual Degree (B.Tech. + MBA):
- After the choice-filling period ends, all filled choices are processed based on the Common Rank List (CRL) of JEE Main 2025 Paper-I for institutions such as NSUT, DTU, IGDTUW, and DSEU.
- For IIIT-D, the seat allotment is based on the IIITD Rank, which is derived using the merit criteria.
2. Allotment for B.Arch. Program:
- Choices are processed based on the CRL Rank in JEE Main 2025 Paper-II for NSUT and IGDTUW.
Important Note:
- Those who are eligible for both B.Tech. and B.Arch. seats must prioritize their preferences during choice filling, as the order of preference will determine the allocation of seats.
3. Result Declaration:
- The results for seat allocation for each round will be announced on the counseling schedule. By visiting jacdelhi.admissions.nic.in, candidates can access their provisional seat allotment letter in their account and print it out.
- Physical Reporting
1. Seat Acceptance Fee Payment:
- A Seat Acceptance Fee of 95,000 is required for those who are allotted seats through the JAC Delhi portal online.
- If the fee is not paid within the allowed timeframe, the seat will be forfeited, and the candidate will not participate in subsequent rounds (up to Round 5).
Important Note:
- Online payments are the only option to pay for seat acceptance fees. It is not allowed to make payments through Demand Drafts, Cheques or Cash.
- Applicants are encouraged to preserve their payment receipts for posterity.
2. Document Verification at Allotted Institutes:
The process of document verification requires candidates to physically go to the designated institute.
The admission committee will assess the documentation and payment status.’ Once verification is successful, the admission will be confirmed and the candidate can access the provisional admission letter via their login credentials.
Deficiency Handling:
- If any discrepancies or missing documents are found during verification, the candidate must resolve them within the same round.
- Candidates with unresolved deficiencies may have their admission canceled, but they can participate in subsequent rounds with updated credentials.

Candidates must bring the original and self-attested copies of the following:
- Receipt of Seat Acceptance Fee Payment.
- Online Registration Form (signed by candidate and guardian).

- Three passport-sized photographs.

Special Cases:
- Upgraded candidates do not need to report to the upgraded institute.
- Candidates previously rejected due to document issues must physically report if allotted a fresh seat in subsequent rounds.
- Freezing and Upgradation
Freezing Option:
- Those who are satisfied with their seat can use the online portal to freeze it.
- After being frozen, the seat cannot be changed or upgraded in future rounds.
Upgradation Option:
- Those who opt for the “float” option will be eligible for automatic upgrades in accordance with their higher preferences and seat availability in later rounds.
- Candidates who have progressed must obtain the updated seat allotment letter, but they are not obligated to physically report again unless specified otherwise.
Online Counselling Procedure
Seat Allotment – General Rules
During this step, the choices submitted by candidates will be processed centrally, and seats will be allotted in the order of merit based on locked choices. The allotment results will be available on the JAC Delhi website: jacdelhi.admissions.nic.in.
a) DTU, IGDTUW, NSUT, and DSEU
- Provisional seat allotment is based solely on the All India Rank (Common Rank List, CRL) of the JEE Main 2025 examination provided by NTA.
- B.Tech and Dual Degree Programmes: Allotment is based on CRL in Paper-I of JEE Main 2025.
- Seat allotment considers details submitted during online application, such as category, region, eligibility criteria, and choices filled by the candidate.
b) IIIT Delhi
A separate merit list is used for seat allotment:
- Final percentile score in Paper-I of JEE (Main) 2025.
- Bonus points (if any) as per Annexure A (up to 2 points maximum).
- Total score determines IIITD merit rank.
In case of a tie: Higher JEE rank prevails.
If CRL is not unique, unique ranks will be generated using the following parameters in order:
- JEE Main Rank
- 12th PCM Marks (descending order)
- 12th Math Marks (descending order)
- 12th Physics Marks (descending order)
- 12th Chemistry Marks (descending order)
- Date of Birth (older candidate preferred)
JAC Counselling Rounds
Online counselling will be done in 5 rounds. Fresh Registration and Choice Editing/Filling will be
available only in Round 3.
- First Round of Counselling
- Seat Allotment: The JAC Delhi portal publishes the results of seat allotment along with the choices filled during the online registration process.
- Seat Acceptance Fee: Provisionally allotted candidates must pay 95,000 as the Seat Acceptance Fee through the payment link provided.
- Document Verification: The admission committee physically examines documents. Once the admission has been confirmed and the fee has already been paid, candidates can download the provisional admission letter.
- Freezing Option: The online option enables candidates who are satisfied with their seat to freeze it. There is no possibility of further improvement after freezing, as it does not require any subsequent rounds to be reverted.
- Floating Option: The possibility of higher preference branch upgrades is open to candidates who don’t freeze their seat in subsequent rounds.
- Deficiency in Documents: If there are any deficiencies in documents or unpaid fees, they must resolve them before the round concludes. Failure to do so will lead to seat cancellation.
- Refund Policy: Rs. 95,000 fee will be refunded within 20 days of the last withdrawal date if admission is not confirmed due to deficiencies.
- Vacant Seats: Vacant seats due to withdrawals or cancellations are carried forward for allotment in the next round.
- Second Round of Counselling
No Fresh Registration or Editing: Candidates cannot register or edit choices before Round 2.
Preference Changes Restricted: Admitted candidates who have not frozen their branch from the first round cannot change their preference.
The following candidates are eligible for second Round of Counselling;
- Type I: Registered candidates not allotted any seat in the first round.
- Type II: Candidates allotted a seat in Round 1, paid the Seat Acceptance Fee, completed document verification, and did not freeze their seat.
- Type III: Candidates from Round 1 who paid the Seat Acceptance Fee but had document deficiencies and are allowed to participate with updated category/subcategory/region credentials.
- Seat Acceptance Fee: Type I candidates allotted a seat must pay Rs. 95,000 as the Seat Acceptance Fee within the schedule. Failure to do so results in seat cancellation and disqualification from future rounds. Type III candidates do not need to repay the fee if allotted a new seat since it was paid in Round 1.
- Allotment Outcomes:
- Type I: Fresh seat allotment.
- Type II: Either higher preference seat allotment or retention of the previously allotted seat. Candidates may choose to freeze or wait for further upgrades.
- Type III: Participation with updated credentials for possible fresh allotment.
- Freezing Option: Candidates satisfied with their current allotment (admitted or upgraded) can submit an online freezing request to finalize their seat and opt out of further upgrades.
- Third Round of Counselling
The following candidates are eligible for third Round of Counselling:
- New Registration: Candidates who did not register in previous rounds. Fresh registration is available only in Round 3.
- Unallotted Registered Candidates: Candidates registered earlier but not offered any seat.
- Non-Choice Fillers: Registered candidates who did not fill choices during previous rounds.
- Candidates with Cancelled Seats: Registered candidates whose seats were cancelled due to deficiencies or other legitimate reasons.
- Admitted Candidates Seeking Upgradation: Candidates admitted in Rounds 1 or 2, who paid the Seat Acceptance Fee, completed document verification, and did not freeze their seat.
Participation Procedure:
- Type I: Candidates Without Any Seat. New Registrants: Register on the JAC Delhi portal, upload required documents, pay ₹1500 registration fee, and fill branch and institute choices. Previously Registered Candidates: Modify choices as per the counselling schedule.
- Type II: Candidates Holding a Seat. Candidates not freezing their seat from previous rounds can modify their preferences using their JAC login.
Seat Allotment Procedure:
- For Type I Candidates: Pay the Seat Acceptance Fee if allotted a seat. Failure to pay within the schedule results in cancellation of the seat and ineligibility for Round 4.
- For Type II Candidates: May be allotted a higher preference seat or retain the current one. Can freeze their seat if satisfied or wait for further upgradation in Round 4.
- Freezing Option: Candidates satisfied with their current allotment must use the “Branch Freezing” option through their login within the specified schedule to finalize their seat.
- Fourth Round of Counselling
The following candidates are eligible for fourth Round of Counselling:
- Type I: Registered candidates who were not allotted any seat in Round 3.
- Type II: Admitted candidates from Rounds 1, 2, or 3, who paid the Seat Acceptance Fee, completed document verification, and did not freeze their seat. Eligible only for institute/branch upgradation.
- Type III: Candidates with seats allotted in Round 3, who paid the Seat Acceptance Fee but whose admissions were not confirmed due to document deficiencies. Permitted to participate with updated category/subcategory/region.
Participation Procedure: Fresh registration and choice editing are not permitted before Round 4.

- Spot Round (subject to availability of seats)
After Round 5, internal upgradation will be conducted for all admitted candidates who have not withdrawn their admission by the document verification stage of the fifth round. Upgradation will be based on the vacant seats after Round 5, using the maximum rank from the last round’s JEE Main (Paper I) cut-off for each category and region as the base cut-off for DTU, NSUT, and DSEU. Internal upgradation within IGDTUW will be conducted for candidates beyond the mentioned ranks. Vacancies arising after this process will be filled during the Spot Round, and IGDTUW candidates wishing to participate in the Spot Round must submit their willingness at the designated venue. A Spot Round may be conducted to fill any vacant seats at DTU, IGDTUW, IIITD, NSUT, and DSEU after the upgradation process.
- Reporting at the Final Allotted University / Institute
All provisionally admitted candidates must check their allotted institute/university’s website for class commencement details and payment of any balance fees. Failure to pay the balance fee as per the institute’s fee payment schedule will result in automatic cancellation of the candidate’s admission.

Are there any management quota seats in JAC Delhi?
There is NO MANAGEMENT QUOTA seat in any of the participating university/institute. Candidates are advised that they should not believe in unscrupulous elements claiming that they can arrange Management Quota seats.
How many round(s) of counselling will be conducted in JAC DELHI-2024.?
The counselling will be conducted in Five rounds (Round 1 to Round 5). Online Registration and Choice Filling will be permitted in only before 1st Round. No new registration and change of choice filling will be allowed after registration window is closed.
What is JAC Delhi Admissions?
